The All Progressives Congress has unveiled a 156-member campaign structure for Ogun State ahead of the 2027 elections, bringing Governor Dapo Abiodun, former governors Olusegun Osoba, Gbenga Daniel and Ibikunle Amosun into key leadership positions.

Abiodun was named Chairman of the APC Campaign Council in the structure contained in a document signed by state chairman Yemi Sanusi and released on Tuesday.

Ogun APC governorship candidate, Solomon Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, will serve as Co-Chairman, while former Senator Lekan Mustapha was appointed Director-General of the campaign council.

Former governors Gbenga Daniel and Ibikunle Amosun were named Deputy Grand Patrons, while former governor and APC national leader Olusegun Osoba was appointed Grand Patron of the campaign council.

Deputy Governor Noimot Salako-Oyedele and deputy governorship candidate Kudirat Adegunwa-Balogun were appointed deputy chairmen of the campaign team.

Sanusi will serve as Vice-Chairman, while Secretary to the State Government Tokunbo Talabi and Minister of State for Health Kunle Salako were named Vice Director-General, Campaign Operations, and Vice Director-General, Administration.

The campaign structure also contains committees responsible for mobilisation, media and publicity, logistics, youth and women engagement, and other aspects of the APC’s campaign across the state’s 20 local government areas.

According to Sanusi, the committees were constituted to strengthen the party’s structures and improve coordination ahead of the 2027 elections.

He called on members of the various committees to work collectively towards securing victory for the APC in the presidential, governorship, senatorial, House of Representatives and State House of Assembly elections.

The unveiling of the structure signals the APC’s intensified preparations for the 2027 elections as the party seeks to consolidate its structures and deepen mobilisation across Ogun State.
