Moses Adebisi, the presidential candidate of the Democratic Leadership Alliance, has thrown himself into the 2027 presidential race with a bold declaration that he is the candidate capable of defeating President Bola Tinubu.

Adebisi made the claim during an appearance on Arise Television’s Morning Show on Thursday, where he spoke about his political ambition and what he described as his preparation to lead Nigeria.The DLA candidate accused the country’s leaders of subjecting Nigerians to oppression, alleging that the welfare of ordinary citizens has not received the attention it deserves.

He explained that his decision to deepen his understanding of politics and economic development followed criticism that he could not solve Nigeria’s problems while living in the United States.

According to Adebisi, the criticism pushed him to study how political systems emerge and how electoral success can be achieved, eventually taking him to China to examine the country’s economic transformation.

He said he visited Beijing and Shanghai to study the policies behind China’s 1978 economic reforms and understand how the country moved from a peasant economy to a major global economic power.Adebisi further disclosed that he studied the United States’ Liberty Agenda of 1774, saying the knowledge gathered from his studies helped him develop ideas for a political and economic blueprint for Nigeria.

He maintained that the experience had prepared him for the responsibility of leading the country, expressing confidence that he possesses what it takes to challenge Tinubu at the polls.“I’m the right man for the job. And I’m the one that will defeat Tinubu this 2027,” Adebisi declared.

He appealed to Nigerians, especially the youth, to support his ambition and become actively involved in his campaign ahead of the 2027 presidential election.“Nigerian people, come up now. The youths, come up now. Let’s go,” he added.
