Senate President Godswill Akpabio has commended the efforts of FCT Minister Nyesom Wike and President Bola Tinubu, expressing confidence that the infrastructure projects would stand the test of time and deliver long-lasting durability.
The Senatge President spoke on Thursday during the commissioning of the Airport Road from Bill Clinton Drive to Tungan Madaki in Abuja, an event linked to President Bola Tinubu’s third year in office celebrations.
Akpabio, who represented the President, described Tinubu as a “project deliverer,” insisting that the administration continues to push development despite criticism from different quarters.
He also applauded FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, referring to him as a “miracle worker” for the pace and quality of ongoing infrastructure delivery across the capital.
The Senate President said his confidence in the durability of the road came from his experience with similar projects executed by the same construction company during his time as governor.
He noted that such roads had remained in good condition for years without significant damage, adding that the newly completed Abuja road could last up to 25 years without potholes.
Akpabio said the quality of work reflects careful planning, strong engineering standards and proper execution suited to the Abuja environment.
He further described the current wave of project commissioning in the FCT as unprecedented, saying it reflects a new level of governance focus on delivery.
He restated his support for the administration, urging continued appreciation for ongoing infrastructure development across the country.
