Former presidential aide Hakeem Baba Ahmed says President Bola Tinubu should leave office before 2027, claiming the administration has failed to adequately address the country’s worsening security challenges.

During an appearance on Arise Television, Baba Ahmed said widespread insecurity has exposed many Nigerians to danger and raised questions about the government’s effectiveness.

He argued that protecting citizens remains one of the most important duties of any administration and claimed the current government has fallen short of that responsibility.

The former aide expressed concern over recurring cases of abduction and violent crimes, noting that no region appears completely insulated from security threats.

According to him, continued attacks on schools, communities and ordinary citizens demonstrate the urgent need for stronger leadership and decisive action.

Baba Ahmed further urged voters to carefully evaluate the administration’s performance before the 2027 presidential election.

He concluded that his call for Tinubu’s resignation was based on concerns about governance and security rather than political rivalry or party interests.
