The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested Halimat Adenike Tejuosho, the suspended South-West coordinator of the City Boy Movement women’s wing, over an alleged case of obtaining money by false pretence.
The commission’s spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, confirmed that Tejuosho was arrested on September 8 and is currently in EFCC custody.
The arrest followed the commission’s earlier declaration of Tejuosho as wanted over an alleged fraud investigation.
According to the EFCC, complaints against Tejuosho involved allegations that she collected money from people after claiming she could help them secure federal government appointments and major contracts.
She was previously interrogated by the commission in June 2025 over the allegations. Investigators also alleged that fake appointment letters and forged documents were used in the scheme.
Tejuosho, who founded Haleems Integrated Services Limited, was subsequently released on administrative bail as the investigation continued.
After the EFCC declared her wanted in April, the City Boy Movement suspended her from her position as South-West zonal coordinator of its women’s wing pending the outcome of the investigation.
The group said the suspension was an administrative step to protect its reputation and ensure the investigation could continue without interference. The allegations remain subject to the ongoing investigation.
