President Bola Tinubu has called on Muslim leaders to offer prayers for Nigeria’s peace and prosperity as Muslims celebrate Eid-el-Fitr.
In his message marking the end of Ramadan, the President urged Islamic clerics and faithful to reflect on national challenges and seek divine intervention for stability and progress.
Tinubu congratulated Muslims in Nigeria and across the world on completing the fasting period, describing Ramadan as a time of spiritual renewal and devotion.
He stressed the need to uphold the values of piety, compassion, selflessness and perseverance beyond the holy month to strengthen national unity.
The President also encouraged Muslims to extend generosity to the less privileged, regardless of religious or ethnic differences, to promote social cohesion.
He noted that Eid-el-Fitr provides an opportunity for both celebration and reflection on the shared responsibility of citizens toward national development.
Tinubu reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to unity and inclusive growth, urging Nigerians to remain supportive of ongoing reforms aimed at repositioning the country.
