The National Chairman of the APC, Nentawe Yilwatda, has sent a strong message of encouragement to Nigerian workers, praising their efforts and reassured them that Bola Tinubu is committed to their welfare, urging patience as economic reforms take shape.
Marking the 2026 Workers’ Day, Yilwatda said workers remain at the heart of Nigeria’s development, acknowledging their dedication even in the face of economic pressures.
He noted that their resilience during difficult times demonstrates courage and commitment, adding that such qualities are essential for national growth.
The APC leader reassured workers that President Bola Tinubu is fully aware of their challenges and is taking deliberate steps to improve their welfare.
He stressed that the administration is implementing policies designed to strengthen the economy, expand opportunities, and create a better future for citizens.
Yilwatda pointed out that reforms such as subsidy removal, foreign exchange adjustments, and increased investment in infrastructure are aimed at stabilising the economy and attracting investment.
He explained that these steps are necessary to unlock growth, generate employment, and build a more resilient economic system.
Although he acknowledged that the reforms may cause short-term discomfort, he assured that the government is putting measures in place to support vulnerable groups and reduce the impact.
He encouraged workers to stay united and continue supporting national development efforts, noting that collective commitment is key to achieving lasting progress.
Yilwatda concluded by celebrating Nigerian workers and wishing them continued strength, prosperity, and fulfilment in their personal and professional lives.
